“Fantastic!”
I purchased these for a guy who is hard to fit; trim, hard legs and slim hipped but a waist size that is shrinking. Most jeans swim on him. These fit PERFECTLY and give him a silhouette that makes sense (not too tight and definitely not too loose). He says they are totally comfortable and the best fitting jeans he has ever worn. The manufacturer says they will shrink if washed ( 1″ in the waist and 2″ in length)and recommends dry-cleaning. Even if cold water wash and hang dry does this it is still worth it. “great 510 jeans”
These jeans fit great and are very comfortable! The slight stretch in the denim makes them more comfortable than snug jeans used to be. Having athletic legs from nearly 100,000 miles of running and biking (mostly biking) I needed to order 32 inch waist instead of my normal 30 to get my legs to fit.
These jeans do not get blue all over everything like new jeans used to the first time they get wet. Just a little blue came out in the water. If you wash by hand or in shower they remain dark blue a long time. The slight fading that occurs over time comes from wearing, not washing.
They are not as heavy when wet as older jeans used to be, so combined with the snug fit would be ideal for activities where you might find yourself in the water and need to swim.

“good jean”
I received these jeans yesterday and I like them…I think they are good jeans – very comfy and soft fabric, nice classic dark blue fade, very good cut to the front and back (no peek-a-boos)and the fit makes your butt look great! However per the suggestion of other reviewers, I ordered one size up (I’m typically a size 5; I ordered 7M) and it’s a tad too big (the crotch area is a little puffy.) I got good stretch and I think it runs true to size. Also, I am just about 5′ 7″ and the length feels an inch too short. Maybe just takes getting used too since I am used to straight or boot cut jeans. Anyway, I intend to return for a size smaller. Bottom line: it’s a great affordable jean with a great fit and feel, especially if you are a littler curvier

“Almost perfect — typical Levi’s”
These jeans were purchased to replace a long-gone, much adored pair of 519s. The fit is so close to perfect, but with the typical Levi’s issue of not being designed for women that have any kind of shape at all. These fit great except for the waistband which seems to be made for women whose waists are the same size as their hips. If you’re the sort that doesn’t think jeans should be worn around your ankles, a belt is a must; and with the ’stretch up a size every ten minutes’ tradition of Levi’s, expect to tighten the belt a few times if you don’t want your seat to sag like a full diaper by the end of the day.
The “Superlow” isn’t nearly as low as in previous years and the “Skinny” really only applies to the thigh area.
All in all, I do love these 518s. They feel good and they look good (as long as you like belts).
